Back again, and this time with something special that only drops on Wednesdays. Yep, we're doing it. We're officially starting a weekly update for all of our fans and followers (haters welcome too) detailing the things we've been working on.
Our fearless Creative Director, Mike Felsen, arrived at the Lazy Deckhand Boat Works HQ in Fort Lauderdale last night for an extended work trip. He’s down to shoot a ton of content for the website and social channels, get hands‑on with outfitting and rigging the boat, mount the motor and accessories, and join us for on‑water testing once the boat arrives. Basically, if it needs doing, Mike’s jumping in. He’s here to be an extra set of hands, eyes, and creative brainpower as we move from “planning” to “building” to “running this thing wide open.” We are all, of course, in great anticipation of the arrival of hull #1 (a Vapor 14 that we are SUPER excited about).
Lazy Deckhand Boat Works has officially been issued a MIC from the U.S. Coast Guard, which allows us to provide hull identification numbers (HIN) on each boat we sell, an important step for our business journey (being a legal boatbuilding/importing business is something we like, as opposed to the alternative).
Stay tuned for more next week, and yes, there will be pictures.
